Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of the Tours of Leeds website. They are not the terms of any tour booking — booking terms are provided separately with your written quote (see clause 4).

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Mike Hampshire, trading as Tours of Leeds (“Tours of Leeds”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a sole trader based in Leeds, United Kingdom. You can contact us by email at hello@toursofleeds.co.uk.

2. Using this website

You may use this website for your own personal and business purposes and to enquire about our tours. You agree not to use it unlawfully, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or to misuse it in any way that could damage it or impair its availability to others. We may update, change or suspend any part of the website at any time without notice.

3. Our content

The content on this website — including text, tour descriptions, photographs, branding and the historical research behind our tours — belongs to Tours of Leeds or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright. You’re welcome to view and share links to it, but please don’t copy, reproduce or republish it for your own commercial use without our written permission.

4. Enquiries are not bookings

All our tours are private and arranged by enquiry. Submitting an enquiry through this website does not create a booking or any contract between you and Tours of Leeds, and no payment is taken at the enquiry stage.

After you enquire, we’ll send you a written quote. If you wish to proceed, the full booking terms — covering matters such as the deposit, payment, cancellation and rescheduling, behaviour and safety, age requirements, and liability — will be provided with that quote. A booking is only made, and a contract only formed, once you have accepted the quote and those booking terms and paid any deposit we ask for. Until then, nothing on this website or in our correspondence obliges either of us to go ahead.

5. Pricing

We don’t publish prices on this website. Every tour is quoted individually based on your tour and requirements. Any price we give becomes binding only when set out in a written quote that you accept.

6. Links to other websites

This website may contain links to third-party websites — for example, review platforms or mapping services. We provide these for convenience and don’t control or take responsibility for the content of those websites.

7. Privacy and cookies

We take your privacy seriously. How we handle the information you give us — including through the enquiry form — is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

8. Our liability for this website

We aim to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we don’t guarantee it’s complete, current or error-free, and we may change it at any time. To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for any loss arising from your reliance on website content or from any interruption to or unavailability of the website. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law. Where you book a tour as a consumer, the booking terms provided with your quote will set out any cancellation and refund rights that apply.

10. Changes to these terms, and governing law

We may update these website terms from time to time; the version published here is the one that applies. These terms, and any dispute relating to this website, are governed by the law of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
