This guided tour tells the story of how Leeds went from a humble village through to a key market town, then a major industrial powerhouse, and finally to the large modern metropolitan centre it is today.

 

The city centre's buildings, locations and structures help tell the story and your guide will talk you through the history, bringing the past to life with stories of the people, places and events that shaped the city.

Visit iconic and impressive sites such as City Square, Town Hall, Civic Hall, Kirkgate Market, Corn Exchange and lots more, whilst learning all about the fascinating city of Leeds.

The tour starts on City Square next to Leeds Train Station and finishes at Corn Exchange, which is a perfect place to shop with independent retailers, or to enjoy refreshments. The Corn Exchange is central to Leeds which means it is very easy for onward travel after the tour.
